Thanks for the link. This is the same as the Bentley manual, yes? Fortunately the car I bought came with a hard copy, so I've looked through it. Unfortunately, I can't find much information on the drivers or the differential, nor can I find the section you referenced. My car is a 5spd (should have clarified that earlier - sorry), for which there seems surprisingly little info in this manual.
Just so I'm 100% clear, you are saying that when I pull one driver out, I should keep the shims with it and transfer the whole lot to the other side, correct? Intuitively I would have thought the shims should remain in their original locations, but I'm not terribly familiar with this sort of setup.
