02 Pilot,
Thank you for posting at TSN!
The driver cups were identical for the 900 transmissions which allows for a simple replacement of driver cup. Many shops will remove the driver cups, and swap cups left to right, etc. if there are problems with any vibrations during forward drive/acceleration. This swap would require removal of the cup shaft retaining snap-rings, then persuading the shaft away from its respective bearing. When removing the drivers from transmission, make certain that the spacing shims are retained or marked for each side of the aluminum cup housings.
Your original damaged driver cup may have been the common culprit of an installation with no or improper lubrication. Using only high pressure and temperature lubrication for drive shafts would be mandatory, and will insure as to longevity.
Thanks again for posting at TSN, and best of luck!
Sincerely,
Gary K. at SWEDISH DYNAMICS,INC.
