Brian!

What have to offer is scant on specifics of your question, but for some peanut gallery encouragement to go for it, here goes:

I am in Baltimore and daily a 225k 9000 Aero for the last 2 months (having sold a mint 2006 9-3 combi).

I do not sit in beltway traffic for commute but often find myself stuck in 1st and 2nd gear all the way into work along charles street.
I also have used it regularly for trips to DC on weekends to see my parents....and do sit on that betway all morning long!

so far so very good.

Since I was going from a very robust 9-3 that easily cruised at 90mph, my biggest adjustment has been feeling comfortable only at 70-75 as a max (maybe need to replace a few suspension bits, maybe just need a little more time to feel comfortable).

Considering on I-95 or I-70 or 83north, that is basically the min speed, I am getting used to the right lane.

Obviously 695 doesnt carry those speeds...

but I reckon, again, coming from your 96, the adjustment will be easier.

Frankly, so far, my biggest worry is about the a/c!! i guess I am just cut of a different, weaker cloth :)

so if that isnt an issue.... go for it.

In fact, I never thought Id find myself in a 9000....i was actually looking out for a c900 to daily, or a 9-5 combi manual.....

the 9000 Aero just sort of showed up dreamlike and im well in.

I am now heading outside to get under her to adjust the handbrake adjustment screw on a rear caliper that I had to replace last week (seized) and I obviously didnt get it tight enough.... I understand the c900 and 9000 share this part, so i will end on the only c900 specific element.

good luck.

-Michael
