Installed a new Walbro fuel pump cartridge on an 89 900 NA. When test driving, it cut out when accelerating in 3rd gear. Here is what I checked/tested since.
Replaced fuel filter--RPMs still dropped in 3rd gear--nearly stalled.
Test fuel injection/pump relays--they are fine--checked for resistance across 85/86 and 30/87, checked for clicking---fine.
Tested fuel pressure---started 4x--each time, when I put the key in ON position, no fuel pressure. However, when starting, it went to 35 PSI each time. Revved engine--PSI topped at 42 PSI. Disconnect vacuum line from pressure regulator--went up to 42. Shut car off---fuel pressure went up to 42 PSI. After 3rd start, let it sit an hour--dropped to 22 PSI in that time.
4th start---35 PSI--this time gave it gas for a sustained period---4000 RPMs, then held at 2000-2500 RPMs--car stalled, fuel pressure dropped to 30 PSI.

Remove fuel pump/inspect---did find a little debris in the canister--cleaned out. Surprised that much would accumulate in 8 starts and driving 1 mile.
Noticed small burn mark on the connector terminal on pump housing.
Hose clamps on pre-formed rubber line seemed tight. Noticed nylon hose could turn on barb fittings.
Also worth noting the car turned over very quickly even on the first start.
Thought I'd provide as much information as possible. Thanks in advance.
