The plastic one as far as I know is interchangable since it is a later model that did away with problems with the metal (they were hard to turn when hot). O rings from a Saab dealer or just match 'em at your local Hardware Most neoprene O rings are equal quality, just check for nicks and mold marks and take the cleanest looking two. I changed the valve in my 85 900t about two years ago and it required an allen wrench and a lot of "indian rubberman tricks". I went out and bought a ball-end allen wrench with a screwdrver handle and it made the job MUCH easier. be carefull to not exert too much pressure on the core extensions where the valve mounts and you'll be a happy camper when the job is done. Same goes for the two engine side connections (easy on the brut force)
