Got the passenger side out with no problem. Drivers side was a big problem. Started last night, again with the drivers side, went nuts with the pickle fork, torch and anger. nothing happened. So with my rage and a grinder I cut the top of the rod end off leaving the bolt part still in the steering arm. Then I grabbed the high speed drill and drilled out the middle hoping to relieve some pressure on the sides. Weather this worked or not I am not sure but who cares now. I grabbed the jack, put it under the stub put a lot of weight on it then proceded to absolutely beat the shit out of the steering arm, I just git more and more pissed cursing in swedish(thanks Dan W) and yelling. All of a sudden, BANG. I thought the jack slipped but then I looked down to see the little stub laying on the floor. I danced, sang, jumped, did flips and ran around my garage. Now I just gotta put the new ones in, think i am gonna get new tie rods too. Thank yous go to Chris X and Dave N for the pickle fork technique, Dan W for the cursing and heat trick, which I think helped. last but not least my Masshole friend Sweeny for the jack idea which ultimately worked, and for the offer to help. Well now I gotta put it all back together and my new MSS exhaust comes tomorrow, what a day!
Thanks,
Cutic 89' 900T (No longer for sale but with new tierod ends)
