Well, i dont know if any of you have kept up, but since i've started driving my 86 SPG, i've noticed that the transmission is SCREAMING in 4th and 5th gear. I put redline MTL in even last week. The other gears arent exactly quiet either. Are these the gears or the pinion bearing? Also, i've got pop-outs in all kinds of gears once in a while.. (i just installed the aluminum engine mount today so it should be less than the broken one). Also, it's wierd putting the car into gear sometimes.. i havent driven it much since i put in the mount but before that, it would grind even going to 5th sometimes and hard to put in usually.. or 3rd too even. it seemed alright driving home tonight. But anyway, how long should i expect this thing to last me? I have a less broken transmission from my 86 900T..i'd rather not replace this one with another semi-worn out trans... it doesnt scream but i can hear slight whine in the gears. I could probably have that one rebuilt and installed. What would be the cost if i already have the trans and am not buying a new one to have it rebuilt and installed? thanks ..
