Chrisx,
Many More questions,
You O ringed the block. I have now received some more email with people doing the head or the block. Is one better than the other? Plus I understand the idea of the O ring but how does that help seal the water passages? Plus how much should it be to get it O ringed by a machine shop? I was first loosing oil near the back of the head. (towards the firewall side) The mechanic siliconed the crap out of it to stop leaking. Then I was loosing coolent in the front of the head. They found fluid in the exhaust mantifold upon removal of the manitfold. I still believe that the gasket is the problem here instead of the head and they didn't do it correctly. Ie annehaling the entire gasket just not spots. Did you get the block machined as well as the head? And the final questions should it make a difference that I got my gasket at Paceo instead of Gasketworks and would I need to get a new one and trash the older one. What thickness of wire did you use for the O ring. Or should the machine shop know this? Since I need to basically walk my mechanic thru this entire process, I'll apologise for the step by step mentality. And since they are doing this free of charge I want to make sure that they do it correctly. If you need to email me these answers I've included my email.
Thanks,
Bill Saabless in Denver for 2 weeks.
