OOps something seems to be wrong. Any way Marc if you want to modify your 8 valve, it is a worthwhile project. I Bought mine new some 16 years ago and could just not let go. I am a novice mechanic and all the guys on the board really helped. I quess it depends on how much you want to spend. Here is what I did, ENGINE/TRANNY: new rings and bearings, Head ported and polished, cam grind, new eriksson tranny with larger pinon bearing, APC box, borla exhaust, intercooler, hotter coil and nology wires, upgraded turbo, moved my battery to trunk and replaced a bunch of other stuff.
SUSPENSION: boge shocks, urethrane bushings, Jamex springs, sway bars, stainless steel brake lines. Interior: working on
I did all the work myself (except the machine work)with help of members on this board. SPG9 and Swedish Dynamics were extemely helpful, and have great products. The car is very quick and agile. These cars are easy to work on. Hit a wall when it comes to fuel delivery in the CIS system. Email me with any questions.
