I have had no cooling problems either, even though I live in South Louisiana.
The CC mod was actualy difficult, but only because I went at it blind. I got the parts for next to nothing at a bone yard in Upper Marlborogh (sp?) Maryland. I found a '92 900s that had been t-boned, and removed the CC gear, pedal switches, turn stalk, et al. The 900 is pre wired for CC, so it was, after many false starts and searches for vac lines etc, plug and play. Long after I made this mod I saw a post on how to do it. Also, a guy sells the CC parts, I believe his name is Alan Snelson. Used to post quit a bit, had an ad in the clasifieds. I bought my alloys from him.
I stopped fooling with my n/a 900, opting instead to buy a neglegted 900t. I sold my '95 BMW 325is to finance the Turbo's revival (and to pay my taxes). I miss the BMW sometimes, but the rush of torque steer that follows the rush to power after the turbo kicks in is a thrill.
Sorry for the long post, but its close to quit'n time.
Good luck.
