It's supremely easy to save your existing wiring! Get some masking tape and a pen to mark the wires and their positions, then pop open the connectors *gentley* and pull the individual wires out. With the plastic connectors gone, you can easily fish the wiring through the small hole in the body work...
As a note, 99% of the multi-pin connectors on Saabs can be opened - look for a little "door" near the base of the connector (on the wire side). Pop it open, and you can pull free the individual bullet connectors... Do it gentley so as not to damage the plastic, and you can later snap them back together and re-use them.
