Odd rattle around intake manifold...
Posted by Vas (more from Vas) on Sat, 7 Oct 2000 23:11:42
when rev'n up past 4000rpm, when the rpm's come back down and between about 3500 and 3000 there is a rattle/pingish sound somewhere beneath the intake manifold towards the front. Its also noticable more when down-shifting, being within the 3500 and 3000 range longer. Not sure what it could be, but if anyone has heard of this before I would be interested in hearing about it. I just replaced the engine oil with Redline 10W-30, along with the tranny, but was convinced already it wasnt any type of valve ping, being that its coming from the drivers side.
Any thoughts/guesses appreciated!
