yes its messy. yes you should drain all of the p.s. fluid. yes it will get on the floor. and no, access to it is not convenient. sorry, i'm still chaffing a bit from just replacing that hose hose clamp. what makes it worse is that it still leaks. anyway, if its the hose i'm familiar with its the bottom one that feeds(?) the pump and clamps to the bottom fitting on the pump. is yours dripping while parked but shows spray all over? its really simple to do but you need skinny, double jointed arms. i exaggerate, but was only able to get one arm in and its really hard to start and tighten the hose clamp with one hand. bentley (or is it townsend?) has instructions on draining the p.s. by removing the resovoir, disconnecting the return hose at it and running the pump/turning wheel to drain it. hope this ramble helps. let me know how it goes if you like.
