84 900s 176k (non turbo)
I am diagnosing cold start and acceleration problems on my 84 900s and I need some help.
1...Acceleration...I know this ain't a Porsche, but accel seems sluggish and top speed is 90 mph on flat land. Is this normal? I'm wondering if the 5th injector on the manifold is supposed to kick in on acceleration. My Haynes manual is not clear on this.
2...Cold Start...Also having the usual cold start surging and stalling problems. Have looked at FAQ's but still have questions. Is the temp sensor between the 2nd and 3rd cylinders an NTC sensor or a time delay temperature switch? If its a time delay, how does it work and why the time delay? I know that it somehow controls the 5th cold start injector. 5th injector works fine by itself if I jumper it out to a 12volt source. Any help on how this injector is supposed to function would be great.
