Ari, An update - the car wouldn't start again this morning.

I swapped two of the relays (the fuel pump and another of the same type). Also cleaned up the battery - post.

The car started very hard - same symptoms - it would catch, run for a couple seconds and then die - it did this 4 or 5 times in a row before it started running smoothly.

I'm thinking it could be the fuel pump relay, being impacted by the colder temperatures, perhaps? I swapped it into the horn relay position, but the horn works fine (maybe because I had handled the relay (warmed it up) and the horn uses less current than the fuel pump(?).

Regarding checking and changing the fuel pump, aside from changing the whole pump assembly, what is a less expensive way to go? Changing the pump insert, motor only??
