So I finally sourced the parts I needed to replace the fuel pump motor in my 97 9k CSEturbo.
Eeuroparts had the Walbro pump motors on backorder for 2 weeks, so I found a Walbro locally and got the other parts (o-rings, check valves, etc.) from Eeuro- however, I have to use the old rubber mounting pieces as no new ones came with the pump.
So, I'm ready for reassembly and I have two rubber pieces. One I believe (the larger diameter of the two= part # 9394578) goes in the bottom of the pump assembly between the base and the filter insert. Is this correct?
The other (the smaller rubber piece with part # 9394560) is the one I took off the top of the old pump....I absolutely CANNOT seem to get this thing back on - I've tried silicone spray to lube the thing....I tried heating it for two to four minutes in a warm oven - can I heat it more,at a higher temp without damaging it?
So help! Other ideas are welcome,!
