Trans is still great at 217k. Quiet, no vibration, smooth in every gear, shifts perfectly.
When the clutch was done 15 months ago, [unbeknownst to me] the indy put in semi-synth Amsoil. I didn't even get down the road a mile and I could feel it - these synchros DO NOT like synthetics.
Drained it out, went back to Castrol GTX. Ahh. Perfect.
