Rear pass window caught in wire

Just discovered some damage to a red wire inside passenger-side rear door, which i presume powers the window motor. Looks like the window holder was getting snagged against it when rolling the window down and now the wire is partly exposed. I plan to tape up the damage, since the wire looks ok otherwise.
Where should I route the wire so it doesn't get snagged again? Can i zip-tie it to the body of the motor? Thanks
Thanks
