Yeah, pivots (hollow plastic) break or pop out.

Aaron - -

This is incredibly common. The rear door buttons get used rarely and the latchworks stiffens up, then when you try to force things, the pivot points, which are plastic and hollow, either pop free out of the holes in the door skin or actually shear off or one or more of the three catches shears.

They can be bought from Saab or maybe site sponsors I believe, or I rigged something to replace them with a short bolt, a ring of bent paperclip wire to serve as a spacer, and a washer (or was it two washers), plus an aircraft-type nut so it would tighten to just allow things to pivot, and hold that setting. (Nut with a nylon insert.) My plan for that is detailed on here in some old posting, do a search if interested.

Fixing the pivots alone probly won't be enough, you will maybe need to free up the stiffness in your latch works. If you can get at it with spray lube it may do the trick.
