My older car (1994) had rear speakers that deteriorated. I replaced them with some Infinity Reference components. They were 5X8 I think. I bought a newer car, which was a 1996 and the stock speakers were still good. I think that the stock speakers actually sound better than the aftermarkets. I would expect that the Infinities would be better, but if I were in the market again, I would look at different models.
