Thanks Ray,dref, Bmac... my lock cylinder is sitting right next to me at the computer when I read this.....It's being dropped off at the locksmiths to disassemble and clean. I can only get the key a third of the way in, although I can get a toothpick down the whole length....It's fouled up in there I presume. The crimp cover (outer surface) looks like what holds it together, but I'll let a pro deal with this....
Great idea about prop stick prep, and knowing about the shims in there too, as well as potential trouble with the retaining tangs of the connectors. hopefully it will fit tight enough not to leak trough to my newly rebuilt rear deck speakers...(just removed and fitted with new foam surrounds in the midrange 3" speaker)
