Stephen - - As the no-name poster warns you, if you pull the fuse that controls the airbags with the battery connected, you will set an SRS warning light on the dash that will stop you from getting a sticker and can be removed only by a pro with the correct diagnostic tool.

On my '96 it is Fuse 4, probly is on your car too. Look it up in your manual, and just skip around it when doing the search. Airbag system is not likely the source of your drain.

I DID in fact cure my SRS light without seeking professional help; I pulled an SRS module from a junkyard car and only yesterday disconnected my battery and installed the junker in place of my car's SRS brain, light is gone. If yours does get a light set, the brain is up on top of the center hump next to the firewall, reachable after prying off the carpet panel with attached pocket beside passenger's left foot. It's about the size of a pack of cigarettes, held by three l0mm nuts, with a clever little nylon lever that releases the multiplug to it. Made by Bosch, labeled SRS UNIT. The replacement cost me about nothing as part of a large parts purchase.
