Much easier this way. I did it by myself, but Jeff is absolutely right about the need to pull the master cylinder forward (into the engine compartment). Otherwise the pedal assembly gets hung up on the four studs on the back of the master cylinder. If I were you I would try leaving the pedal attached to the throttle cable as removal is a real chore.
