for what advantage, real or percieved?

Synths basic advantage is in extreme Heat tolerance. Good for circulating in a red hot Turbo cartridge.
I use Honda Manual Trans Fluid (MTF).. a Years proven 'upgrade' trans oil for Saab gearboxes.
Non synth.. so it doesn't have synchro issues.
OEM in over 20 million and counting, Hondas.
Available at any Honda dealer... ~$5/7 litre.

Makes shifting notably smoother..and every bit helps :-)
Have used it (a lot) and Genuinely recommend trying it, at least.
Only caveat being that if the box is damaged or dying.
No magic oil will 'fix' it.
