All Saab 9000's I've fooled with have the same setup: since 1986 models
A bunch of wee studs that hold on the wheel arch trims. Yes there are plastic grommets the protect the fender holes from chaffing and presumably too early rusting ? If you've lost some of those SS nuts, Nylon ones from Home Despot are passable subtitutes
But absolutely Nothing tricky or confusing.
Remove those SSteel nuts and the trim comes off.. Aero OR vanilla 9000.

That doesn't mean that some twit hasn't been in there previously and done their own 'improvements' :-)
