looked at a couple of 9000's Posted by skibumm100 [Email] (#3255) [Profile/Gallery] (more from skibumm100) on Mon, 28 Dec 2015 06:04:20 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
I went out looking for a replacement 9000 for the Aero. There's a 98 CSE and a 97 CSE not too far from me. Both 5 speeds. The 98 has rust issues. The front fenders are rotten and it's got rust at both rear shock towers. It also has serious rust at the base of the A-pillars. Pretty high mileage on this one too. The other one I looked at is a silver one near Boston with 120K. This car was pretty solid but has been sitting for a few years. The body had very little rust but the PS rear quarter was pushed in at the bumper. This car would've been a gem four or five years ago. Now it's a stationary mouse condo with a wet interior. The mice ate the hood pad and there was a dead field mouse on the floor in the back. The interior was very wet with mold and mildew on the hard surfaces. Pretty sure the moon roof drains are plugged up. It also doesn't run. I put a battery, some gapped, used plugs and my DI cassette in it. Cranks and fires on starter fluid but I think there's something wrong with the fuel pump or wiring circuit. I shouldn't have even spent that much time on it. This would be a decent parts car but that's about it. As we were driving out the driveway my son saw a mouse running across the cowl. Don't waste your time looking at this one unless you just need parts. They were asking $1200 for each of them.....move along, nothing to see here.....
