Well, oil pan on the frame will certainly do it in terms of causing a vibration! The stock mounts really don't last long, which has been my experience with hydraulic mounts in other brands too. This definitely gets worse once you get some oil leaks on them too. I've replaced mine with both OEM hydraulic and when those eventually failed solid rubber. My vote is with solid rubber. They're cheaper, in my experience last long,er and I couldn't notice a difference in vibration. Maybe a very slight increase in vibrations at idle? It's hard to tell since I'm obviously not comparing brand new hydraulic to the solids, but I don't think there's a huge difference and certainly not unacceptable levels. Keep in mind that most 'non-luxury' cars use solid rubber to begin with and do okay. Perhaps you're thinking of poly mounts that cause unacceptable vibrations? My experience is with the 2.0l engine as an FYI, but I imagine the 2.3l is similar (larger displacement, but with balance shafts).
You'll definitely want to replace both mounts, and check the condition of the transmission and 'dog bone' top mounts as well. They're not as failure prone, but are more trouble to replace as they're pressed in. The board can provide plenty of tips to work with those too.
