Almost certainly a slave issue from my experience. The non-OEM status is usually a problem, but I would expect those problems to arise much sooner after the job is complete, so you've gotten more time that I would expect on this part.
You have a few options: 1. Leave it alone and see if it gets any worse. It may not! 2. Try a bleed. Could be a bit of air in the system. 3. Pull the works and replace with OEM slave, bleed, and hope you're set.
I vote for option 1. If it goes kerplooie, unless you have the time and inclination, I'd let this 20-year-old car go.
The only other thing I can bring up is the clutch line between the master and the slave. Did you happen to replace it during your clutch job? They can get old and broken down and that can impede fluid flow in the rubber portion.
