There will always be something. Some you have to deal with, others you live with. It the nature of these beasts anyway, and especially as they age.
As long as you have another car you can run them indefinitely. My '96 has 228K on it and needs a bunch of things, but it's all manageable. And I have a back up car--a '99 9-3SE. I don;t drive a lot these days, so am hoping to get a few more years out of the old beast, but unless I do a resto (a possibility) I know I won't have it forever.
One thing to look for is the gas tank straps. If you don't know when they were done, just do them. This is one of things that can hit you without warning. One of mine died on the way to a ski area. Fortunately I didn't have much gas in the tank so the other one held.
