Dreaded clutch bracket issue Posted by Mike TX [Email] (#1409) [Profile/Gallery] (more from Mike TX) on Sun, 28 Aug 2016 18:29:04 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
Recently I noticed my clutch pedal acting weird. Sure enough the bracket is bending and flexing pretty baddly. I read a bunch of posts on how to remove it to and was then going to weld a repair.
I removed all 4 nuts, and fifth bolt holding the bracket. I disconnected all three pedals. I removed the battery and battery tray to make room to pull the brake booster back. I then had a friend pull the brake booster back so I can move the bracket off the four studs. My problem is I still can't get the bracket out. It seems to be hung up on the center rod of the booster. I can't pull the booster any further back without disconnecting a bunch of lines.
What am I missing? How come I can't get this thing out already?
Mike
