I really appreciate all the details. I had not thought of the vertical brace to the subframe (and possibly the throttle cable) being in the way. I'll look more closely at the resivoir. If that is the issue, the risk of ruining the hydraulic lines by taking the whole unit off does not seem to be worth it.
