It's been years since I did it but remember it being a straightforward job. I'd replace the radiator hoses at the same time, especially the lower one. It doesn't go bad as often as the top hose but it's a pain to get to on its own do it'll be one less thing to worry about in the future.
I've never heard of an intercooler going bad, but some people do try and wash them out with water and simple green or super clean as they do get oily over time, but it's probably not really necessary. There are performance replacements but they're expensive and the 9k intercooler is pretty decent stock (unlike the c900 one) so it's not really worth it unless you're going for really big power.
Interesting to hear Bill's feedback on the Chinese aluminum ebay radiator. They seem to make them for everything now. I have one for another vehicle without a good source of quality replacement radiators and the welding work is impressive and its amazing they can sell them so cheap (I'm sure it would be a $600-700 custom piece from a performance radiator shop). Fitment does seem to have its quirks for many cars though. I'd personally stick with the Nissen since it's a known quantity and they do work and last well (despite the plastic neck) but it's always good to see more options available for our cars!
