I would also check the hose in the right rear wheel well that goes to the rollover valve. I check it every time I have the right rear wheel off. Just did it yesterday when swapping snows. That hose gets rotten and will break, then it fills with road grime and dirt and plugs. Once that happens, the fuel pump will collapse the plastic gas tank and you will get that WHOOSH when you open the fuel cap. You don't need to remove the tire to check it. Just reach up in the wheel well behind the filler door. The hose makes a loop. You might be able to see it with a flashlight.
