Driver's door hard to close Posted by JerseySaab [Email] (#666) [Profile/Gallery] (more from JerseySaab) on Sat, 9 Sep 2017 13:58:21 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
Lately I've been noticing the driver's door has gotten hard to close on my '95 CSE. It's not the striker adjustment (the pin is well-centered in the latch). What happens is that when the door is still about an inch or two open, just before the latch engages, you can feel resistance to closing that feels like it's in the hinge area. The door has to be slammed shut pretty hard as a result.
I was thinking maybe the rubber wiring conduit was getting pinched but I don't see any abrasion or any indication of a problem there. The hinges look good, no rust or obvious issues, and they're lubed up.
Ideas?
