Coolant pressure tester for 9000? Posted by JerseySaab [Email] (#666) [Profile/Gallery] (more from JerseySaab) on Tue, 12 Sep 2017 12:25:05 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
Trying to track down a slow coolant leak in my '97. I have an inexpensive Mityvac pressure tester purchased for another vehicle, but its "European" adapter won't fit the 9000. Anyone know of a reasonably-priced tester that fits the 9000?
This one claims to fit Saab and is the price isn't bad: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B06XXK7FT4/ref=as_li_tf_tl?ie=UTF8&camp=1789&creative=9325&creativeASIN=B06XXK7FT4&linkCode=as2&tag=thesaabnetwork
Then there's this one that seems more complete for just a few bucks more and also claims to fit Saab: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01MY4HY21/ref=as_li_tf_tl?ie=UTF8&camp=1789&creative=9325&creativeASIN=B01MY4HY21&linkCode=as2&tag=thesaabnetwork
There are so many places that coolant can leak on these cars I figure a pressure test is the quickest way to find the problem. There are no obvious drips anywhere and there's no indication of coolant in the oil or vice versa.
