I've made a trailer and have also made running gear for a heavy wood splitter using 9000 rear axles. Now I'd like to make a log arch to pull with my tractor. I plan to cut the axle and weld the stubs into the heavy square tubing that forms the arch. Wondered if anyone would dare hazard a guess as to what I could get away with load per wheel. I'd use saab 15' aluminum wheels maybe with 6 ply tires.I'm aware of the load limits for the car.
