power loss going up hills - Saabnet.com Bulletin Board
I recently took my car on an 800 mile trip from DC to pittsburgh and back. Dc is relatively flat and i noticed on steep inclines, my car was really struggling for power. My first though is slipping clutch, but i replaced the clutch 2 years ago, i dont think it would go so soon. Also unlike slipping clutch, my revs didnt climb as a hit the gas in conjunction with no power. If i was in 5th gear going up hill at 50mph flooring the gas resulted in no change in speed unless i downshifted.
