i am in the NE -Upstate NY so plenty of salt, slush, etc. If it's a question of weather's effects on the parts, sure could be. The housings are aluminum, and so there is a fit between the housing and the poly, unlike the 'bonding' of the OEM rubber. Could be a factor in noise? If I recall years ago I had gotten a hold of some RED poly wishbone bushes, but not the split version, but one piece-these needed to be cajoled into the aluminum housings with soap and a decent amount of &$%@# French. They fit tightly, but I may recall they did 'squeek' over speed bumps. But on the road-not noticeable. So maybe the 'noise' is material dependent??
Purple SuperFlex on my car don't squeak. Cannnot recall if I lubed them on initial install.
