Do you know the radio code? - Saabnet.com Bulletin Board
Instructions for my 1994, probably the same as your 1997:
If you know the four digit code, it makes things much easier:
1. Turn on ignition to at least the ACCESSORIES position (or turn it on to running).
2. Enter the four digit code using the numbers on the channel presets (1 - 6).
3. Note that you only have two or three shots to get this right, or you will have to have the radio on (and possibly beeping) for an extended period, something like an hour, until it says "CODE" again.
If you don't know the four digit code, you will need to get it, per cgwiz's instructions.
