Window regulator: posible to fix with screw? - Saabnet.com Bulletin Board
The front diver's side window on my current 9000 Aero has gone wonky; from past experience, I expect that the spot weld connecting the track to the bottom mount has broken. Is it possible to fix this with a screw and nut, i.e is there enough clearance for the slider to slide in the track if there is a screw there?
I don't have a TIG/MIG welder, and I think that an aluminum pop rivet isn't strong enough. Both sides of may garage are currently in use, so I don't want to start this project and have to leave the car on the street with the window down.
