Re: Smoking from a stop - Saabnet.com Bulletin Board
Thanks a bunch, Craig. This is very helpful!
I've started to notice a little smoke upon startup from time to time, so I'm thinking it's the valve stem seals, like you said. Looking forward to an excellent repair bill at the vet's. Hopefully, they won't need to pull the head.
I luckily have a new DI Cassette, so I'll swap that, first, to see if that's causing the stumbling. Otherwise, I wonder if it's related to the fuel lines- possibly gunked up or in need of a new fuel filter. The filter has about 30k miles on it, but it's also 6+ years old!
thanks again for the assistance, here, folks- I appreciate having this classic forum as I attempt to bring my 91 9k back to spec!
