Recently had the front seats of my '97 Black Aero recovered and contrary to many past posts on the subject the tread is not purple. After examining the thread on the underside of the original covers, the thread used originally by Saab was black. The replacement leather that matched very closely in color and grain was "Madrid Black" by The Miami Corp. #MD5-2295. Mentioned in an earlier post (but briefly) is that to remove headrests on Aero seats, one must pull the seatback cover up and over the headrest to gain access to the torx retaining screw.
