I guess I wasn't signed in when i posted the youtube video, thus "name left blank" but I just replaced a rear caliper (also original @ 220K) a few weeks ago. And briefly thought about rebuilding it, thus i came across that video... Everything is remanufactured now and apparently theres quite a few that dont work right out of the box... I sort of slaved over choosing which brand wondering if some had better standards etc...and you see a LOT of different price points.
In the end I went with my most local parts store, advance auto thinking that if i got a dud in the box I could more quickly expedite a replacement in person. for what its worth, what came in their "duralast" box was an AI Cardone unit.
so far so good. but its not been a long time admittedly. the handbrake adjuster screw liked to pop out/fall out, but by pushing it in far enough i was able to engage the sprocket gear to set the adjustment just fine.
it did not come with guide pins.... which was fine as apparently most replacement guide pins are trash and corrode quickly.
good luck.
