I would try a highly-rated locally owned transmission shop. There are usually a few around.
If desperate, call Dick's below and offer to pay them for 15-30 minutes of advice only since you are probably far away. They fixed a linkage issue on my 1992 Saab 9000 (old style) auto many years ago for a reasonable price and had staff with deep and broad experience on trannys. Long shot if it helps.
