Yepp, I write the FAQ at http://www.saabturboclub.com. Are you having it translated!? Would you by any chance be able to send me a copy of the translated FAQ? I have started working on a english version myself, but at this speed I will be finished by the time StarTrek style transporters ("beam me up....") are used instead of cars.....
Nono...not the only alternative. There are defenitely other ways of doing it as well. But I dont know how and I would prefer to use a APC/bpc valve and proper software for it.
Using a apc valve with your current software/ECU will probably not do you any good. I would be surprised if there is anything in that software that will controll the APC valve, hence you will get base boost only. Dont you think that Abbott will give you a good deal for an upgrade?
Boost levels are programmed into the ECU. Fuel cut limit will of course set the absolute maximum boost level, but other parts of the ECU should already controll the boost to make sure it doesnt reach and increases beyond unhealthy levels (fuel cut).
I would strongly recommend you NOT to mess with the pressure sensor. At least if you use ECU for boost control (wich I think is a good idea).
The alternative to the apcvalve+new software solution would be to continue as you are now, with boost control outside the domains of the ecu. I guess you would need more fuel to further increase boost levels, and that should preferably be done in the ECU. Maybe a progressive fuel pressure regulator can help, but I guess that such a setup would take a lot of tweaking.
I hope this helps.
