I'm having several problem that I believe are all related- perhaps just one problem with multiple symptoms.
1. CHECK ENGINE LIGHT. My Check Engine light comes on after about 2 miles of driving at highway speeds. At slower speeds it will stay off for many miles.
- I took the car to a mechanic with one of the Saab diagostic tools. He plugged it in and said it showed two faults. My Knock Sensor and my turbo Pressure Sensor.
2. REDUCED TURBO. I seem to lose Turbo boost (intermittently?) after my Check Engine light comes on.
3. STUCK APC/TURBO GUAGE. My guage is stuck in the yellow.
4. STALLING. My car has stalled after being thoroughly warmed up- coming into toolbooths on the highway, stopping due to traffic in the highway, and turning into a parking spot in town. It has never stalled prior to the onset of these other symptoms.

My theory was that I have a leak in one of my vacumn hoses, probably severe and close to my intake manifold since my turbo guage doesn't move at all. However, I just thoroughly inspected as many hoses as I could see. I removed all the hoses that connect to the large rubber "hose" that goes between the intake and the (air mass meter?). I couldn't see anything wrong and I completely removed and inspected this large "hose", undid and retightened all the hose clamps. Unfortunately I didn't do the suck test on the turbo bypass valve when I had it out. The stalling problem sounded like it could be a bypass valve failure. After I got everything reassembled I tried sucking on the other end of the thin little hose that goes into it, and I could not draw through it. Does this mean its good? Or do I need to remove the valve to check it correctly? Would a failed turbo bypass valve cause the guage to be stuck- or is their a definitely a vacumn leak? Finally, what's up with my Knock Sensor fault? Could that be related to the vacumn leak?
The one potential source of a vacumn leak I found was that where on the the thin vacumn hoses goes into the top of the engine block-- it just sort of "plugs in" to a rubber "socket"- its not real tight. Perhaps I need to replace the rubber..
Thanks in advance for any help or advice anyone could give.
