radiator drain

I made a modest effort to find the drain to flush out my radiator fluid the other day, but wasn't sure I found it. Is it the black cap on the bottom of the raditor that looks like you would turn it with your hand (as opposed to a wrench) or is it somethin else? I tentatively tried to turn it but couldn't, so I stopped to avoid breaking it if it wasn't it
