Help! Thought I fixed my heated seats...not sure i did. Posted by Morgan [Email] (#1972) [Profile/Gallery] (more from Morgan) on Sun, 8 Oct 2000 22:23:50 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
I soldered in a new wire where the old one had severed. I tested for continuity and all was perfect when I put back together. When I turned the kmob to the highest heat setting, the part where I r/r the wire became noticably hotter than the entire rest of the seat. In fact, the rest of the seat did not feel warm. I covered the wire back up with the original foamy material. What gives? Why did this happen? Why won't the seat back get warm? It has continuity and power(and is plugged in). Also, how do I know if the switch is working properly (besides heat). Does anybody know the continuity/resistance measurements and at which pin? Can I rebuild this part from parts from Radio Shack? Any help is most appreciated.
