disconnecting the wastegate hose. Yes, I'm asking you to try to blow your engine to bits :-P.
Seriously, make sure your spark plugs are OK, if in doubt, put in a new set and gap the plugs to 0.9 to 1mm. The only other thing I can think of is the DI cassette, see if you can borrow one from your indy.
Disconnect the middle hose on the BPC solenoid, take the car out for a test drive on an empty stretch of road, bring the rev up and see if the boost gauge would go into red. Don't floor it, if you must, make sure you back off right away. With the wastegate effectively disabled, the only thing to prevent you from blowing up the engine is the manifold absolute pressure (MAP) sensor. Be prepared to hit fuel cutoff if you do not back off throttle (that's why my advice to do this on a relatively empty stretch of road).
However, with this exercise, you can find out whether you can hit full boost. If you can go wild with your boost, then you know it's not your turbo nor your wastegate stuck open.
Good luck and let us know.
