Warm up....IMO...a few minutes is all I give it...but dont put it under load until fully in the normal temp range. In other words no turbo boost until fully warm. In winter this will obviously take longer..even though a good shot of boost usually sends the temp needle up faster than not. Cool down...there are "turbo timers" available which feed oil to the turbo bearings after shutdown..but with modern turbos this is not necessary. If you werent on it hard just before shutdown...then I usually give it 30 or 40 seconds...if it was boosting hard just before shutdown then ill give it a minute or longer. Our turbos are water cooled so "coking" of the oil is less likely than the older turbos..like a Saab 99 turbo I once owned..which was much more fickle about care and bearing life, although it was the turbo that gave me the least of problems on the car.
